I learn Carnatic vocal at Mahathy Music Academy under Guru Rekha Brahmasamudram, and I learn Bharatanatyam at Nrityaranga Performing Arts Academy. I did my Arangetram in July 2026 and also finished all four levels of the Sampada certification through Silicon Andhra University.
Hi, I'm Sahasra Maradani.
I'm a senior at Biotechnology High School in Marlboro, New Jersey, and I've been learning Carnatic music and Bharatanatyam since I was 5. They've both been such a big part of my life, and I really love getting to share them with younger kids.
In May 2025, I started teaching Carnatic music because I wanted to help kids get a fun, easy start. That's how Swaranjali Kids began. It's a small group, and I try to keep everything simple with lots of practice, repetition, and support.
What I Teach
I teach Carnatic vocal from the very beginning — like sarali varisai, basic exercises, note practice, and simple songs once the student is ready.
Most of my students are between 5 and 8 years old, and they don't need any experience.
We meet at my house twice a week for one hour each time. Classes are free.
